We are waiting on a rooftop on the ASU campus looking out across buildings and sidewalks, not knowing what to expect, but we do know that we are looking for one man: Marcos Najera. How, might one ask, could you spot someone you don’t know while standing seven stories up? The answer is, it wasn’t too difficult. We see him on a nearby stairwell, holding a large fan. He moves the fan in smooth, arcing gestures in a sort of graceful dance as he descends the stairwell. I stumbled across something awesome this month that I want everyone to know about. It’s a giant warehouse downtown called “Urbana.” It’s not a club or anything like that, it’s a place that makes and rents props. This is really cool to see! On my tour I saw everything from dinosaurs to giant ice cream cones, and more lights and stage equipment than I have ever seen before. The stuff in this place could make any event cool.
