Pick up the latest issue of SLAM at your local Zia Records or Trails!
  For the last year or so the local music scene has been in a slump.  Why is this?  Is it the lack of promotion, the economy, lack of interest in local music, or are people just not leaving their houses anymore?

  I personally am an avid supporter of the local scene and have been for several years.  I’ll admit, I even dropped off for a little while, only going out if I knew someone in the band, or had seen the artist before and liked them.  Honestly, I quit going to shows mostly because of the lack of a crowd.  I became jaded and slightly disinterested.                                              ...continue >
