Formed in fall of 2002 by Josh Lindblad (Nonresonance), Anthony DeAugustine (Nihil), and Dan Froehlich (2nd Born), Makeshift Family combines their diverse background and musical taste to create a sound with a unique edge.
Their lyrics are self-examining; the music is pulse pounding and unforgiving.

Numb has been hand picked by both Larry Mac of 98 KUPD and Chris V. of 101.5 The Zone. 98 KUPD & 101.5 The Zone are the two hottest rock radio stations in the greater Phoenix area, and the main source for local rock in Arizona. And Makeshift Family's song "My Life" was voted Track of the Day at Garageband.com.
